the film maker philippe auliac stopped by with his family and filmed me playing short improvisations on some of my bamboo clarinets. i make my instruments with bamboo from china and have seven instruments from sopranino to contrab. each instrument is made from only one piece of bamboo and i use the end of the piece of bamboo as the mouthpiece. i often play with improvisational and contemporary music ensembles or in solo or duo recitals.
